The heart behind it all
Hi, I'm Kastell! Let me introduce myself a little bit and the reason I started a snail mail club - I have always been an arts and crafts girl since I was little. There is no other thing in this world that fills my cup and feeds my soul like making something. It's as simple as that. I went to college and got a degree in product design because that's all I've ever wanted to do - I just want to make things. That could be anything from a keychain to a picnic table. I've realized however, that over the past year and a half, since graduating college, I've lost my connection with that special thing that I need to feel whole.

I discovered art snail mail about a month ago - a community I had no idea even existed and one that I immediately wanted to be a part of. So here I am, starting my very own and I could not be more excited. The Crafter's Cookbook is a way to not only bring the joy of creating back into my life, but to share that love and joy with others, hoping to ignite that same fire that making something gives me. While also bringing back the simple pleasures of receiving mail. In a world that is so consumed by digital interaction and mind-numbing entertainment, I hope that this can be a way for people to slow down and reconnect with the beauty of making things and using their hands to create something. Even if that's just this one little craft a month. Whether you are a seasoned crafter or have never made anything in your whole life - whether you are 10 or 50 - the crafter's cookbook is for you!
